Europa Village has a beautiful vision, an imaginative conception to combine the elements of an Old World-style winery and inn with a performing and fine arts venue.

Located in the bucolic setting of the Temecula Valley Wine Country, Europa Village is re-creating the romance and congeniality of the French, Spanish, and Italian wine regions.  Within this European-style arena, there is currently a 10-guestroom country inn bed and breakfast, The Inn at Europa Village, with commanding, breathtaking views of Temecula’s rolling hills and vineyards.

Passionate about cuisine, wine, and sustainable products, Chef Dean and his wife Nicole are the Inn’s gracious operators, and the breakfasts they prepare are in a class by themselves. The ongoing entertaining performance arts events include Shakespeare in the Vines and dinner theatre. Wine education classes are also offered.  Their future plans include a world-class resort-spa, village boutiques, pathways for strolling, and three distinct tasting rooms:  C’est la Vie Wine Chateau, Bolero Cellars, and Vienza.

C’est la Vie Wine Chateau will feature French inspired wines, and the following wines are now produced under this label: 2012 Chardonnay (grapes from Central Coast), 2011 Syrah and 2011 Syrah Private Reserve (100% Syrah grapes from Europa estate), 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet), 2012 En Vie (a light red wine made from almost half Grenache, with the balance an elegant blend of Syrah, Counoise, Mourvedre, and Cinsault).  At this time, there are four wines that are bottled under the label of Bolero, Europa’s homage to the wine region of Spain:  2012 Garnacha (called Grenache in France), 2012 Garnacha Rose (estate grown, 100% Garnacha), 2012 Muscat Canelli (sweet, but not saccharine), 2011 Tempranillo (grape indigenous to Spain, 100% Tempranillo).

Vienza, Europa’s Italian label, completes the trio of European romance wines, which will become three separate tasting venues in the not-too-distant future.  There are five wines representing Italy: 2013 Pinot Grigio (from Europa’s Anza Road vineyards), 2012 Arneis (complex white wine, grapes originally from Piedmont Region), 2012 Sangiovese (estate grown, 100% Sangiovese), 2012 Vendetta (Super Tuscan blend of 65% Sangiovese and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon), 2012 Montepulciano (estate grown, French oak aged).

Combining all the best elements of entertainment and education, Europa Village events are always popular.  Amazing talent is drawn from the Temecula Valley and the surrounding area.  The outdoor stage, set alongside the vineyard, the warmth of a Southern California summer evening, and the brilliant stars visible in the sky as dusk transitions into night, make the perfect setting for Shakespeare in the Vines.  Starting July 10th, and continuing throughout the month of July, there are eight performances of Shakespeare’s Henry V (“We few, we happy few, we band of brothers”).  In August, The Tempest (a magical piece of theatre and the last play written by Shakespeare) starts performances on the 7th.

In keeping with its French, Spanish, and Italian cultural concept, Europa transports its guests into three distinct domains with their musically themed, gourmet dinners prepared by the Inn of Europa’s award winning chef, Dean Thomas.  Courses are expertly paired with wine from the corresponding wine district.  An Italian cinema themed, four-course dinner, along with singing waiters will be presented on Thursday, September 17th, from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm.  A vicarious visit to Malaga, Spain and its world famous science fiction/horror film festival, FanCine, is offered Thursday, November 13th, 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm – costumes encouraged. Check out Europa’s website for dates, times, and to purchase tickets: www.europavillage.com/events

Live music with free admission is presented on Fridays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (“Friday Night Live”) and Sunday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Europa Village also offers wine education classes on wine making, wine evaluation, and wine pairing with food.  Europa Village is located at 33350 La Serena Way, Temecula (877-676-7047).

Temecula Valley and the surrounding community will continue to benefit from Europa’s imaginative vision and charming perception of a premier Old World Winery, Inn and Resort-Spa. We excitedly wait with great anticipation for completion of the French, Spanish, and Italian European-style destination wineries.  For now, we can enjoy the many performing arts events, themed gourmet dinners, wine classes, and the enchanting Inn at Europa Village, while appreciating Europa’s dedication to the “glory of the wine.”
