Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria

IMG_1115Located at 250 W. Ocean Blvd in downtown Long Beach, CA, Buono’s offers a truly authentic Italian experience.  After 43 years in the business they have it all correct. The food, setting and service comes from the heart.  You’ll see at least one family member there every day. All menu items are from scratch developed from family recipes.  I don’t care what you order, it’s  going to be good.

Expect a small intimate setting.  This place is beloved by locals, IMG_1124 business people and tourists. Get there early, this place is extremely busy. Parking is on street or validated 2-hour  parking in an easily walkable covered parking lot.

IMG_4892My recommendations include (appetizers) the Stuffed Eggplant Rolls with goat cheese and the Bruschetta. Since they are best known for their pizza’s, order one. They’re some of the best SoCal has to offer.  Grandma Guilia’s Lasagna is to die for.  Enjoy a glass or bottle of wine from the nice compact wine list.  Affordable prices, special seasonings, ultra premium cheeses, extraordinary seasonings and fresh fresh ingredients make each dish a masterpiece.  Some gluten free pasta’s and pizza crusts available.

IMG_4891You’ll walk out of the door with a smile on your face you’ll feel like you’ve become part of the family.  As  Theresa Buono says, “Every item on our menu is made with love.”  I agree.  You can taste it in every delicious bite.
