How’s the weather been lately in your neck of the woods?   Pretty weird, eh?   Things warmed up ideally for the first Jazz Concert last Saturday.  Then it rained on Monday morning, stayed wet yesterday and today’s skies are as grey as the hair on my head.   Temperatures are forecast to climb into the nineties by this coming Sunday and into early next week, which is perfect timing because we’re going to bottle four thousand cases of wine.  Of course!  A heat-wave while we’re working outside in the sun.  Yep, yew betcha, that’s dead-solid perfect.

Ah yes, bottling…the last chance to get things right or totally screw-up all of the previous months’ work we’ve done.   Some of my winemaking brethren get so stressed during bottling that I just leave ‘em alone.  A typical conversation goes something like this: Me: “Hey, how’s it going?”  Winemaker: “We’re bottling…gawd, I’m losing it…look, I gotta run-call me back later…ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!”).   Get the picture?

The vines are starting to bloom, but that’s about all I can comment on at the moment.   You see, we’re getting ready for bottling.  ARRRRGGHHHHH!!!
