Dine Out Long Beach Restaurant Week 2017

Dine Out Long Beach Restaurant Week
Launches
February 19-25, 2017

Get your foodie groove on during Dine Out Long Beach, Restaurant Week 2.0 February 19-25, 2017. No tickets needed and no passes required.

Just show up at any of the beach-city restaurants and enjoy value-priced prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner as the city’s best restaurants are showcased for one week.

Long Beach is located about 30 minutes from downtown LA. Participating restaurants in this SoCal community are scattered throughout trendy neighborhoods like the downtown area , Bixby Knolls, Belmont Shore, Naples Island, Belmont Heights, East Village and Shoreline Village. You will be safe and secure as you take in the sights as well as the eats. If you haven’t been to Long Beach in a while, you are going to be surprised at how it has grown into its very own culinary destination.

Food specials start at $10 for lunch and $20 for dinner at the various restaurants, which include places like Honduras Kitchen, Beer Belly Long Beach and Brix at the Shore.  Whatever you have a taste for, they’re represented in this event. Highbrow or casual dining – your choice.

My three go-to recommendations for this year are Brunch at James Republic, lunch at Playa Amor and dinner at Naples Rib. All deserve your dine in attention during this dine out event.

Think fresh local creations making for fabulous menu choices, great bars and professional service. Whatever they are serving (each has a special selection for you), you’re going to thank me later for recommending.

Heads up to James Republic for their bottomless mimosas, their really popular hash dish and a pet-friendly patio. Dive into the handmade on-site tortillas, guacamole, big-boy burritos and chicken tacos at Playa Amor. You don’t have to “settle” for so-so Mexican food anymore.  This place is A-Mazing.  The succulent baby back ribs you’ve been craving are at Naples Rib Company. They’ll be lots more menu choices for you to select from. For now, take a look at the event website, plan your day(s) and just get in the car, ride the bus or use See Jane Go to get you there. See Jane Go (Driven by Women, For Women). Riders (including men riding with female passengers) can download the app and pre-book schedule their Dine Out Long Beach ride using code: DOLB.

Last year’s favorites are still on my mind (and my personal dine out list), so don’t miss them either. Brix at the Shore, Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria (downtown location), and Chianina Steakhouse all offer a unique taste of Long Beach. Brix offers New York Deli flavors, Buono’s features big cheesy plates of Italian favorites you won’t soon forget and Chianina…well…if you love a sophisticated evening out amongst the best beef possible, you’ve found your place.
